Early morning visit to Park Guell, the failed housing development turned into a park and tourist attraction. The architect Gaudi was known for bringing nature into architecture so making this a park was a no brainer. Unfortunatly part of the Nature Square area was under construction. If you go before the opening hours for the paid part of the park you can walk in without paying. I also downloaded the official Park Guell guide app and did the audio tour.

Looking down at the main entrance to the paid part of the park. I came in from one of the other entrances. The house on the left (Casa del Guarda) you can enter and take photos from and there is a small exhibit about the park inside

Photo of the famous lizard, the lizard's mouth is also an overflow outlet for the drainage system.

Snakenhead fountain in front of the lizard.

Casa del Guarda ( The Warden's House ) has an exhibit about Guell, Gaudi, and Barcelona in it.

Porter's Lodge, a waiting room.

View of the park from the Casa del Guarda.

The roof of the Hypostyle Room, area with all the columns.

Panoramic view of the columns in the Hypostyle Room.

Nature Square, the open area on top of the Hypostyle Room. It has the long tiled bench that goes all the way around.

The outside view of the Nature Square.

Part of Nature Square under construction, looks like they are almost done.

Portico of the Washerwoman

Casa Larrard was once where Eusebi Guell resided but is now a school.

The pink building in the middle of this photo is Gaudi house museum. It is in the free part of the park but requires a separate admission fee.

Panoramic view from the top of Park Guell.
